DALLAS —August 11, 2005— Cirro Energy will celebrate the first energy retail store in Texas, which has been opened by authorized agent TexStar Power Brokerage LLC, during a public grand opening in downtown San Angelo on Tuesday, August 16, 2005, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The new store is the first of a wave scheduled to open statewide that will help Texans maximize energy savings during the months when switching providers impacts bills the most.

“This is a new way of doing business,” said Tim Bell, Cirro Energy executive vice president. “People have become accustomed to the convenience of shopping for cell phones, pagers and other deregulated communications services at retail stores. This is the first of many Cirro authorized agent electricity retail stores within Texas that will make it even easier for consumers to understand and benefit from deregulation.”

TexStar Power is a San Angelo based authorized agent for Cirro Energy. Consumers can consult with an energy savings specialist, sign up for service on-line, purchase items from the Cirro SmartShop and access Cirro’s electricity price comparison calculator. Their downtown office at 212 S. Irving Street, is part of the community revitalization program. The grand opening will celebrate the first freestanding electricity retail store in Texas with free food, special guests and a $150 gasoline prize package.
