HOUSTON—March 7, 2006—Houston will welcome its first electricity store as Cirro Energy’s authorized retail sales location opens on Tuesday, March 7, 2006. The store, inside a contract United States Postal Service location at 5829 Sam Houston Tollway, will Mayor Bill White’s “Consumer Choice Initiative” to show Houstonians how to save money on their electricity bills.
“We’ve served the Houston market for four years and look forward to participating in the new Consumer Choice Initiative,” said Cirro Energy executive vice president Tim Bell. “We’re taking an extraordinary step to support this program by opening a store in Houston. This location is a convenient place for Houstonians to shop for electricity with straight talk and the opportunity to enjoy real savings.”
The grand opening for Houston’s first electricity store will be on Tuesday, March 7, at 5 p.m. with an open house from 2-7 p.m. The store is alongside Eagle Bistro, which will serve complimentary beverages and sandwiches to guests at the event.
Cirro Energy provides electricity to residential, commercial and industrial customers within the deregulated areas of Texas. Offering some of the most competitive energy prices and superior customer service, Cirro Energy can save residential and business customers up to 20% on their electricity bill.
“People have become accustomed to the convenience of shopping for cell phones, pagers and other communications services at retail stores,” added Bell. “Now customers can switch and start saving money in less time than it’ll take to drink their cup of coffee.”
Cirro Energy teamed with authorized agent TLG Management Corp to open the combined contract USPS and electricity store in Houston. The group has launched four similar locations in Dallas and McKinney. The Houston store will offer one-stop access to full-service post office and electricity services, as well as a full service cafe. Plasma TVs will explain deregulation while consumers consult with an energy savings specialist, sign up for service and access an electricity price comparison calculator at the new stores.
Cirro Energy and TLG Management opened a Web site to service Cirro Energy Store customers, www.cirroenergystore.com. Shoppers can also contact a customer service representative at (866) 55-CIRRO
