Manage Average Billing

By making your bill amounts more consistent, Average Billing can help you eliminate bill spikes and enjoy easier budgeting.
How do we calculate your averaged monthly payment?
Deferred balance
The deferred balance is the cumulative difference between your monthly Average Billing amount and your actual monthly charges. If this amount is higher, 1/12 will be added to your current bill; if it's lower, 1/12 will be subtracted from your current bill.
If you're a new Average Billing customer, the deferred balance will begin your second month of service. The amount can be found on your Cirro Energy bill.
1. We add your monthly bill amounts for the last 12 months, if available.
2. We divide that sum by 12, or by the total months available for your service address, which tells us the average amount you pay per month.
3. To adjust for any differences between the average amount you typically pay and what you actually owe for the month, we add or subtract 1/12 of your Deferred Balance, which is the cumulative difference between your monthly Average Billing amount and your actual amount.
