Once you’re signed up, you can download the Cirro Energy app to manage your account right from your phone. You can sign up for services like Auto Pay and Average Billing, track your electricity usage to gain insight into your habits, update information about your account and more.


Frequently Asked Questions

Lubbock will become deregulated on March 4, 2024. Starting January 5, 2024, Lubbock Power & Light Customers will be able to shop for a new retail electricity provider (REP). If you haven't chosen a new provider by the time of deregulation, you'll be automatically enrolled in electricity service with a default provider. If you decide to choose a Cirro energy plan after that time, you can easily switch at any time.
Lubbock Power & Light will be responsible for transmitting and delivering electricity to your home or business and for maintaining your electrical equipment. If you experience a power outage, see a fallen pole or power line, or have an issue with your electric meter, you will contact them to resolve the issue.
If you choose one of our electricity plans, we’ll be responsible for providing electricity to your home or business. Once enrolled, you’ll receive your bill directly from us and speak with us to process payment and resolve any issues you may have with your electricity service. If you move, we will handle transferring your service to your new address, provided you’re in an area we serve.
Fixed-rate plans lock in a set energy charge per kilowatt-hour (kWh) for the length of your term. Although utility charges may change, the energy charge per kWh stays the same each month. We offer fixed-rate plans in terms that range from 12 to 36 months, and plans with simple pricing structures that make your energy service easy and predictable.
Variable-rate plans are month-to-month electricity plans that give you flexibility with no long-term contract. We offer several variable-rate plans that renew month-to-month with no cancellation fees.
No. When you choose an electricity plan, we’ll handle the switch with no interruptions. You won’t even notice you switched until you have electricity made easy.
Your electricity bill will come directly from us. You can choose to receive it by mail, or you can enroll in Paperless Billing to receive your bill through email. When you’re ready to pay your bill, we have multiple easy ways to pay.
We have many convenient ways for you to pay your bill. You can pay online by registering for My Cirro, by phone at 1-800-MY-CIRRO, or through the Cirro Energy app. You can also sign up for Auto Pay and pay your bill automatically every month from your bank or credit card, so you won’t have to worry about remembering to pay your bill.
Yes. If you decide to move, we can easily transfer your service to your new address, as long as we provide service to that area. Just give us a call at 1-800-MY-CIRRO or register your account online using My Cirro to have your service moved.
